Coach with MVP Youth Sports
Volunteer coaches needed!
Volunteer coaches are essential to MVP’s success. As a coach, your child is guaranteed a spot on your team, and we’ll support you with a preseason coaches clinic, a folder with practice plans and plays, and an MVP coaches shirt. All we ask is that you bring a positive, encouraging attitude—we’ll help with the fundamentals.
Â
Teams practice for 30 minutes immediately before a 45–60 minute game each week (depending on sport), so the weekly commitment is 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes per week during the season. Practices and games are held on Sundays, with the exception of summer leagues.Â
Â
If you would like to coach, please register yourself online.
Â
Thank you for volunteering your time and energy—you’ll make a meaningful impact on the athletes you coach.
Â
Additionally, head coaches will receive a $100 account credit that can be applied toward any future MVP program.

Coaching Philosophy
FUN. This is the primary objective and cornerstone of our philosophy, regardless of whether it is a game or a practice, football and basketball at the youth level should always be fun.
Â
This requires a little creativity on the part of the parent/coach to incorporate fun methods of coaching and teaching fundamentals throughout the practice and game.
Â
Each flag football team will consist of 7-10 players and 5 will play at one time. Each team will use a rotation system and the coaches will do their best to make sure that your son or daughter will receive equal playing time.

For basketball, we play 4 on 4 with an ideal maximum of 8 kids per team.

Our goal is to keep our teams small so that all kids receive the maximum amount of playing time.
Â
All volunteer coaches will attend a coaches clinic prior to the start of the season.
